New York City, NY – On a beautiful spring day in New York City, Chris Pizzolo, founder of creative marketing company Immediate Family, walked into Chelsea Studios with a singular goal: elevate the story of Cuban percussion icon Pedrito Martinez. Within hours, a dynamic team of musicians, photographers, and video storytellers were capturing content for Martinez’s new album, Ilusión Óptica. The session, pulled together on just 24 hours’ notice, culminated in a spontaneous creative sprint — and even drew in actor Bill Murray, who stopped by to take in the moment.
What may have looked like serendipity was actually a case study in precision, strategy, and the power of creative collaboration enhanced by technology.

A New Kind of Creative Company

Immediate Family is not your typical marketing firm. It’s a creative engine built specifically for artists — blending real-time content creation, artist management, campaign strategy, and emerging technology under one roof.
Founded by Pizzolo after the sale of his music blog PlayTooMuch.com, Immediate Family was born out of a desire to serve independent artists with the kind of structure and support typically reserved for major label acts. “We’re here to win for our clients,” says Pizzolo. “And we do that by leveraging technology, content, and social networks in a way that feels personal — but can scale.”
From live shoots to digital strategy, everything the team does is built around responsiveness and collaboration.
Technology That Sparks Creative Momentum
For Immediate Family, technology isn’t a shortcut — it’s a superpower.
“We’ve used it to generate high-quality images, build press kits, write strategic copy — things that, in the past, might’ve taken a full team days to complete. Now it happens in minutes,” says Pizzolo.
But the real advantage is how it supports creative flow. “It’s like having five extra bodies in the room,” he adds. “You can interact with it like a teammate, ask it to challenge your assumptions, or get inspired when you hit a wall. We use tech as a jumping-off point — a way to expand what’s possible and move faster with intention.”
The Results Speak for Themselves
The company’s approach is already paying off. Pedrito Martinez now has more tour dates booked this year than in any previous year. Moses Patrou, a soulful indie artist, is seeing the highest streaming numbers of his career. And Sleepy Hollow Music Festival — now in its second year — is tracking far ahead on ticket sales.
“We’ve built a team that understands both the creative language and the music business language,” says Pizzolo. “Our job is to bridge those worlds for our clients.”
What sets Immediate Family apart is its holistic approach: a core team of strategists, designers, and producers work hand-in-hand with a vast creative network and modern tools — allowing the company to act quickly, intelligently, and artist-first.

Leadership That Listens
At the center of it all is Pizzolo’s leadership style: collaborative, inclusive, and empowering.
“Creative leadership means giving everyone a voice,” he says. “Everyone at our table has a project they own, and their input shapes how we move forward. We challenge our team, we hold each other accountable — but no one gets left behind.”
It’s a culture built on trust, experimentation, and the belief that big ideas can come from anywhere.
The Vision Moving Forward
Looking ahead, Immediate Family plans to scale its impact by building tools and systems that make it easier for independent artists to bring their projects to life — regardless of budget or access.
“We want to use our love of creativity and technology to make resources more accessible at scale,” says Pizzolo. “That could mean platforms, workshops, custom campaigns, or new artist development models — we’re building the infrastructure for what’s next.”
And as for how he wants the company to be remembered?
“I hope people say we were fearless,” he says. “That we embraced new technology in real time, challenged the norm, and did it all in service of the artist.”
Final Word
“We’re here to encourage artists to think and dream bigger — and with the technology we have available to us, we’re able to make those dreams and ideas come to life.” — Chris Pizzolo
