Hope & Help Welcomes New Chief Executive Officer Thresa Giles

Orlando, FL – May 5, 2025 – Hope and Help Center of Central Florida, Inc., d/b/a Hope & Help, is proud to announce the appointment of Thresa Giles as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective Monday, May 5, 2025.

Thresa brings over 30 years of dynamic leadership experience across both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. With a distinguished track record in business operations, financial management, and organizational strategy, she is exceptionally equipped to lead Hope & Help into its next phase of growth and transformative impact.

Blake Powell, President of the Board of Directors, says, “Ms. Giles’ appointment follows a comprehensive search to find the right leader to help the organization grow and expand to fulfill our mission of ending the HIV/STI epidemic and empower everyone to live healthy and stay well.”

Most recently, Thresa served as Chief Financial Officer at Stand for Children, Inc., a national nonprofit committed to education success and social progress, operating in seven states. Her career has included extensive work in finance, procurement, regulatory compliance, technology, and grants administration. She also brings experience in managing complex investment portfolios, demonstrating her broad and strategic skill set.

Thresa’s vision for Hope & Help includes enhanced community partnerships and expanded access to care. Her strategic priorities include diversifying funding streams, investing in new technologies, and fostering team development to ensure long-term organizational sustainability and impact.

Thresa holds an MBA in Statistical Management and a Bachelor of Science in Finance, providing a strong foundation in analytical decision-making and financial expertise. She is also in the final stages of completing her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, further deepening her understanding of effective leadership strategies and innovative organizational development. Her academic achievements reflect a lifelong commitment to excellence and a dedication to driving impactful, data-driven outcomes within the organizations she leads.

Thresa has received multiple honors recognizing her leadership and influence, including the Wharton Business School CFO Fellows Award, the Jacksonville Women of Influence Award, the Ultimate CFO Award, and the State of Delaware Outstanding Leader Award.
