HUNTSVILLE, AL, UNITED STATES – Leadership Empowerment Enterprise, a 501(c)(3) organization led by Kenny Anderson, announced Pathways to Purpose, a life coaching initiative designed to support individuals through structured reflection, personal development, and professional direction.

The initiative was created to provide a guided coaching process for individuals who want to examine their values, goals, responsibilities, and next steps. Pathways to Purpose focuses on self-awareness, accountability, and practical conversation as part of a personalized development experience.

“People can grow when they are willing to examine where they are, understand what matters to them, and take accountable steps toward purpose,” Anderson said. “Pathways to Purpose was created to support that process with care, structure, and meaningful conversation.”

Through Leadership Empowerment Enterprise, Anderson focuses on leadership development, professional growth, life coaching, and philanthropy. The organization’s work includes seminars, mentoring, and community-centered initiatives that aim to support personal and professional development.

Anderson brings more than four decades of experience in counseling, education, leadership development, and public service. He is a nationally certified mental health counselor and previously served the City of Huntsville as Multicultural Affairs Officer after his appointment by Mayor Tommy Battle on January 25, 2013 and served in this role before retiring in October 2024.

Before joining the City of Huntsville, Anderson spent 16 years at Calhoun Community College, where he most recently served as Dean of the Humanities and Social Sciences Division. His background also includes speaking engagements for corporations, conferences, academic institutions, faith-based organizations, and community groups.

Anderson has also supported education through scholarship initiatives at several higher education institutions. These include the Jack & Annie Anderson 2nd Chance Scholarship at Calhoun Community College Foundation, the 212 Community Service Scholarship at Oakwood University, the Mother Earnestine Fletcher Tibbs Memorial Scholarship at Alabama A&M University, the Dr. Spivey-Brown Excellence Fund at Oakwood University, and the Providing Access through Transformative Education Endowed Scholarship at Drake State Community & Technical College.

Since 1990, Anderson has also hosted and produced 2nd Chance, a weekly radio talk show broadcast Sundays on WJOU 90.1 FM, Oakwood University’s radio station. The program is also available online through WJOU and through Praise 90.1 FM livestreams on YouTube and Facebook.

Pathways to Purpose is built around the belief that purpose is not limited to a job title, role, or current assignment. The initiative encourages participants to consider their values, choices, goals, and responsibilities as part of a broader personal development process.
